Microsoft Will End Support for Internet Explorer 11 on June 15, 2022

Microsoft will stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 on June 15, 2022, the tech company has announced . Only on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 LTSC and Windows 10 Server will Microsoft continue to support the browser. On all other Windows version, IE11 will be replaced by Edge.

According to Microsoft, Edge is not only more secure and offers a more modern browsing experience, it also supports legacy websites and applications through Internet Explorer mode. First, Microsoft 365 and other applications from tech company Internet Explorer 11 will no longer support from August 17 this year. Thereafter, browser support will end on June 15, 2022.

Home users who still work with Internet Explorer 11 are being asked to switch to Edge before June 15 next year. In the case of organizations, they may still use hundreds of legacy IE-based websites and apps. For these organizations, Microsoft has drawn up a roadmap and announces that the Internet Explorer mode in Edge will be supported until at least 2029.
