Two Critical Vulnerabilities found in Microsoft Office 365

A security researcher using the alias Paranoid Ninja discovered two critical vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office 365 software. Exploitation of the vulnerabilities allows attackers to completely bypass the authentication process.

Initially, the expert reported his findings to Microsoft Security Response Center only about one detected problem, but soon he was able to identify another vulnerability. According to the specialist, the second vulnerability is related to the first and is even more dangerous.

Such vulnerabilities are often used by cybercriminals to organize malicious campaigns aimed at users of a software product. In this regard, Microsoft will soon begin to notify users of their Office 365 service about hacking operations carried out by a foreign government. The corresponding notifications will be added to the user's security portal, which will be the first step in the fight against progressive cybercriminal groups.
