New Birdwatch Program Helps Twitter Fight Misinformation

A project called Birdwatch, designed to combat inaccurate information in microblogs, was announced by the American company Twitter.

Users will be able to leave notes to posts that, in their opinion, are misleading others. And other people will appreciate how helpful this comment is.

“Today we are introducing Birdwatch, a public-oriented approach to dealing with misinformation. We need your help. We're looking for someone who can test this in the US. You can tag tweets with helpful directions that you think are misleading, ”the company said in a statement.

Twitter believes that this approach will help to quickly respond to the spread of misleading information by adding data that people trust and find valuable.
