Hacker Leaked 2.28 Million Users of MeetMindful Dating Site

The hacker (s) known as ShinyHunters have posted on the public hacker forum the details of more than 2.28 million users registered on the dating website MeetMindful. This was reported by the ZDNet edition.

Hacking forums often trade compromised data, but ShinyHunters published (and) a 1.2 GB dump of the site's user database for free.

The database contains a wealth of information that users provided when setting up profiles on the MeetMindful site and mobile apps, including real names, email addresses, city, state and zip code information, physical appearance, dating preferences, marital status, dates of birth, IP addresses, Bcrypt account password hashes, Facebook user IDs, and Facebook authentication tokens.

The data breach did not affect the messages exchanged by users, but this does not make the incident less dangerous.
